Orders Batch processing: How to print multiple labels at once using blue?
blue allows you to easily manage your orders, purchase discounted shipping labels, and print them in bulk. In this tutorial, you will learn how to use the blue orders batch processing feature, in which you are able to process several orders at the same time and print multiple labels in a matter of seconds.
First, you should have your orders imported to your blue account.
|
With blue, you can import your orders from different sources: a database, a file, or from your e-commerce platform. To learn how to import orders from each of these sources, please follow these links. |
For this tutorial, we will assume you already imported your orders and have them listed on your Orders page.
To print labels for your desired batch of orders follow these steps:
1. Log in to your blue account, and go to your Orders page.
2. Find the orders you'd like to print labels for, so you can easily select them.
The Orders page lists orders from all your data sources and gives you the ability to do an advanced column filtering to find and select only a batch you'd like to fulfill. For example, you can choose to only see orders imported on a specific date or the order No.
3. Review and update order information.
After you choose the orders you'd like to print labels for, you should review and update orders data, if needed. The Orders page provides several convenient features that allow you to edit multiple orders at the same time, or edit orders one-by-one.

Once you have confirmed your orders have the appropriate shipping address, weight and shipping service, the status of the orders will switch to ‘Ready’ and you are ready for the next step.
4. Check and compare postage prices (Optional)
Once your orders are 'Ready', you can check the postage price, go to your 'Orders' page and click on the 'Price' button in the upper left corner. This will not purchase labels, but instead just show you the postage price for the selected shipping service:
At this point, you can change the shipping service chosen, for a few or all orders to compare the postage price. When you decide on the best shipping service for your orders, you are ready to purchase and print labels.
5. Purchase and print labels
To purchase desired labels, simply select your orders, and click on the 'Purchase' button in the upper left corner. As the image below shows, the status of the order will switch to 'Purchased' and labels will be charged.
If you'd like to see the label, click on the action icon '', under the Action column.
The 'Orders' page gives you the flexibility to choose which labels you'd like to purchase at once, as well as when to print them. To print your orders in batch, simply select all the desired orders and click on the 'Print' button in the upper left corner. All labels will be sent to your printer, and printed at the speed of your printer!
And that is how you purchase and print many labels at once, using blue.
You can also print one label at a time by clicking the action icon , under the 'Action' column.
To speed up the printing process, blue gives you the option to set the desired printer as your default printer. To learn how to set up your ZPL printer as default, click here.
