USPS Non-Standard and Non-Compliance fees
Starting in April 2022, USPS introduced two new fees: Non-Standard fees and Non-Compliance fees.
Non-Standard fees will be applied to packages that exceed certain automated-sortation dimensions, and incur manual handling costs.
Affected mailclasses are Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, and Ground Advantage. The table below shows additional fees that will be added to the base postage, according to the rules. “Length” is considered the longest dimension of the package. Please note that fees are additive, meaning that volume and length related fees can be added together. For example, if a package is greater than 30” in length and greater than 2 cu. ft., both length and volume fees will be applied.
| Dimensions | Priority Mail Express/ Priority Mail | Ground Advantage |
| Length> 22" <= 30” | 4$ | 4$ |
| Length > 30" | 18$ | 8.40$ |
| Cube > 2 cu. ft | 30$ | 18$ |
Non-Compliance fee will be added to any package with incorrect or missing dimensions that result in any of the above Non-standard surcharges. To avoid this fee, make sure to insert correct dimensions prior to creating label.
