How to fill out a customs declaration form on blue

By creating an international label, you must also fill out a customs declaration form and blue has simplified this process for all our users. 

Here are the steps on how to fill out the customs declaration form on blue:

1.  First, when the Customs Form window is opened, click on contents type and select the one that best describes the contents of your package.

Note: Please select the contents of your package truthfully! If it’s a gift, select a gift. Misrepresenting the contents type by calling it a "gift" when it is actually merchandise, it is against the law and will be at higher risk of your package getting seized by customs. 

2. After selecting the "contents type", add the quantity, a short description, weight, value, HTS code, and origin of the item that is being shipped. In the end, click "apply" to add your item to the items list.

If needed there is possibility to add more details by clicking on More Details button and providing information. When done click on Apply.


Please note:

• The package value must always be filled out and can not be $0.00 at any time. You should declare the correct value of the item, so your recipient pays the correct amount in fees. If not, your shipment may be hit with duties and tax disputes.
• The description of the items can be as simple as a "book", you do not have to go into details 
•  If there are multiple items in your shipment and they are all the same item, you can create the "Customs Item" once, just update the quantity, then use the same Customs Item for all items in your shipment. If there are different items in your shipment, you must add a Customs Item and description for each.

3. When your item is added to the items list, it can be edited  if there is something that needs to be changed.

When done, click on Apply, and choose the mail class you desire to use and print your label! That’s it!
