How to display number values greater than 12 digits in Excel?
If you are using Excel to open .csv file, you will notice that Excel by default displays large numbers using the scientific notation format. This might make it difficult to operate with long numbers such as label tracking numbers. In order to see full number in Excel please follow these steps:
1. Open your .csv file and click Data.
2. Click on From Text/CSV, as shown on image below.
3. New pop-up window will appear and ask you to choose the file to open. Choose the file you are currently working on and click Import.
4. New window will open. Click Transform data, as on the screenshot below.5. In new window, select column with numbers you'd like to convert, and change data type. We will convert column named "Tracking", so we will select it and click Data Type: Decimal Number drop-down, as shown on image below. Choose value 'Text'.
6. After you choose value 'Text', confirm by clicking Replace button as shown below.
7. Full number values will appear in desired column. Click Close & Load button, in the upper left corner of the window, as presented in image below.
8. New sheet will be created in your document showing full number values for desired column.
