What is a USPS Scan Form and how to create one on blue™?
A Scan Form also known as a Shipment Confirmation Acceptance Notice contains a master barcode that includes all the packages associated with a group shipment. When your shipments are picked up by USPS, they scan the master barcode on the Scan Form to automatically create a tracking event for all the packages rather than scanning each package individually within that group shipment.
Steps of Creation a Scan Form on blue:
After creating your label all you need to do is to click on the Manifest Now button, as shown in the picture below:
After clicking on the Manifest Now button there will be your Scan Form and if you want you can print it by clicking on the button Print. If needed, the Scan Form can be reprinted later.
All Scan Forms you can find under MANIFEST/SCAN FORMS on the left side menu on the blue platform. Also, you can search them by date or a manifest number and, all details regarding it you will get by clicking on the button Details.
International Bridge manifests "on behalf of the user" at the end of the day at 6:50 UTC based on the mailpiece's postmark date. For example, if a mailpiece is postmarked for 02/12/2020, it is automatically manifested on 02/11/2020 at 6:50 UTC (if it wasn't already manifested or refunded).
Packages that are unmanifested at the time of the first scan at a USPS facility will be intercepted and subject to disposal. The packages will not reenter the mail system and shippers will not be reimbursed for any late postage payments made and/or any resulting losses.
It is your responsibility to make sure your packages are manifested in a timely manner. This can easily be accomplished by enabling the Auto Manifest feature. If you decide to enable Auto Manifest feature, please reach us so we can make that change on your account. If you prefer to keep this feature disabled, you will need to make sure you submit a manifest request for your pieces before you enter them into the USPS mail stream. Failure to do so could result in your package being intercepted.
The manifest response contains a collection of several SCAN forms, each with its EFN (Electronic File Number). The number of the SCAN forms depends on the induction point, destination entry, and other aggregation factors.
